Write yourself into the story!

On July 7th, Vicki Gabereau and Rick Cluff, together with Senator Larry Campbell and wine-writer John Schreiner, hosted Literacy & Beyond, an exclusive evening of wine, food, and music in support of Literacy BC. The second annual event attracted over 150 guests to the stand up soiree at beyond restaurant + lounge in the Century Plaza Hotel.

Guests tasted more than three dozen wines including bottles from Black

Hills, Blasted Church, Burrowing Owl, CedarCreek, Herder, La Frenz,

Mission Hill, Poplar Grove, Quail’s Gate, Red Rooster, Sandhill, Stag’s

Hollow, Thornhaven, Tinhorn Creek and Wild Goose while enjoying

exceptional West Coast cuisine from beyond Executive Chef Cale Gault’s

mouth-watering summer menu… all set to a backdrop of jazz from Vancouver’s Amanda Tosoff Trio.

Literacy & Beyond, and the accompanying PGI Golf Tournament for Literacy

BC (founded by Peter Gzowski), raised over $100,000 for Literacy BC.

Literacy BC is so grateful to everyone who helped make these events

possible. These valuable funds will be used to provide direct financial

support and referral services for adults who want to improve their

literacy and learning skills.
